Behind the Scenes

  • John Adams

When I worked as a Visual Effects Supervisor on the television miniseries, John Adams, I used visual effects to recreate what the late 1770s and early 1800s looked like. In this very same spot, I recreated where I am standing. The buildings behind me became the backdrop for an important scene in the series. The visuals on my computer show the transformation of this city.

Would you happen to know where I am? Boston is correct.

  • Oz The Great and Powerful

In 2011, I production-designed Sam Raimi’s film Oz:The Great and Powerful, starring Michelle Williams and James Franco (pictured with me in costume).

Fun fact: I’m uncredited for a cameo in the film as the “Kansas Disgruntled Man”. That’s me!

  • Alice in Wonderland

In 2008, I production-designed Tim Burton’s film Alice in Wonderland.

Fun Fact: This is not AI! This is the real set; I’m sitting in the chair next to Johnny Depp with a green screen background for adding visual effects during the final stage.
